What is DVD+RW VR?

DVD+RW VR support provides the user with VHS VCR type capabilities for DVD generation and update on the PC. The whole idea behind DVD+RW VR is that you can create DVDs that can be re-edited "time and time again".

Any disc generated by a product (hardware or software) that follows the DVD+RW VR Video Format v. 1.1 support specification is updateable by another product (hardware or software) that follows the +RW VR Video Format v. 1.1 support specification.

So for example, if you have a DVD+RW video disc that was created using neoDVD or a 3rd party application, you can load the finished disc into neoDVDplus, add/delete video clips, rearrange the contents of the disc, and then recreate the DVD. neoDVDplus allows you to do this by maximizing disc usage through re-write and reuse of space.

Will having DVD+RW affect neoDVD's real-time recording capabilities?

No, even with the DVD+RW features incorporated into neoDVDstandard 4.0 and neoDVDplus 4.0, it will still maintain its real-time recording capabilities using the Direct-To-Disc Recording™ and Smart Buffering™ features.

Nochwas: da Sony und vermutlich demnächst NEC/Bell keine Pioneer-Brenner mehr in ihre Computer verbauen, sondern eigene (auf Apples Haltung wartet man gespannt), vertreten Fachleute die Ansicht, dass sie vorübergehend +/- Brenner einbauen, um den Übergang von Minus auf Plus zu erleichtern bzw. einzuleiten.

Ist natürlich verständlich, denn zwei Formate kommen teuer und bedeuten Konkurrenz. Und Sony wäre wohl der Letzte, dem man reine Wohltäterschaft als Gesinnung attestieren könnte.

Schlaaaaafen, tief schlaaafen, Ego-Artemis ... nach einer Ruhephase nimmt die Denkfähigkeit wieder zu (bei dir wird allerdings 36-stündiger Dauerschlaf notwenig sein ... besser 48 Stunden)

Hat schon jemand neoDVD 4.0 ausprobiert? - $ 29.99

Die tun wenigstens was, um DVD+ zum Durchbruch zu verhelfen, Pioneer verärgert bloss die Leute mit Wischiwaschi-Updates.
