DvDReMake 1.1 and MenuEdit
DvdReMake is a DVD editor. Unlike MenuEdit which was designed to modify dvd menu information in vob files DvdReMake is designed to work with whole disk. Of course in the same easy and intuitive manner. Well, it is not exactly right... Actually, it is even easier to use DvdReMake. And it looks and feels way better.
Some DvdReMake features
DvdReMake has almost all functionality of MenuEdit plus some more features that make it a very handy tool for editing dvds or making dvd backup:
Remove unwanted buttons from either still or motion menus;
Re-link menu buttons;
Delete menus for selected language;
Cut out credits or embedded studio logos;
Replace material on the DVD with your own;
Remove warning/rating screens;
Remove menu transitions;
Actually, remove any scene from the disk. No more splitting disks - have what you like on your disk (movie or extra, or even part of this and part of that) with the original menu by simply removing what you don't want to see on the disk.
For those familiar with DVD terms:
Delete/disable BOV (buttons over video) with automatic adjustment for all auto display modes;
Delete selected language units;
Replace any cell either one by one or all used in language unit or all in titleset movie with blank (PAL/NTSC determined automatically);
Cut the rest of any cell (with or without buttons) after selected vobu;
Cut any cell (with or without buttons) in front of selected vobu;
Fix incorrectly authored/edited disks. If mismatch between information in ifo and vob files is found DvdReMake will try to fix the problem

MenuEdit
Having all these nice tools, like: dvddecryptor, ifoedit, dvdshrink and imgtools one can make a backup of DVD disk very easily. The only steps in this process, which are a real hassle, is editing menus to disable/edit buttons linking to pruned parts of the DVD and bypassing unwanted materials. These procedures require a good knowledge of DVD disk structure and even then take a lot of time (usually more personal time then all other steps together).
MenuEdit is a DVD vob file editor for Windows which eliminates a root of the problem - removes buttons from dvd menu screens and replaces unwanted material with what you like. No button - no problem.
Most importantly - editing is done in such a way that the structure of the DVD remains valid and any other tool you may wish to use will have no problems working with the processed files.
Some MenuEdit features
MenuEdit has very simple and easy to use graphical user-interface which will let you:
Remove unwanted buttons from either still or motion menus;
Remove intro/logo/warning screens;
Delete not used cells/vobs;
Preview everything on your DVD;
Edit all button's attributes and commands;
Add buttons to menu;
Edit menu color table;
Move buttons between menus - export/import menu buttons;
Save selected video frames into file.
