Neue Funktionen im Update:

Vielleicht kann den mal einer testen, der ne MP maschine hat (ich leider nicht....)
Multipass encoding soll eigentlich in einer der nächsten versionen ebenso noch kommen.

Die Multiprozessorunterstützung ist doch nicht so wichtig. Oder kaufst du dir sofort ein Multiprozessorsystem, wenn du weisst, dass der MC-Mpeg die Geschwindigkeit dann verdoppelt (Optimum) ?

Ich nicht.

Wichtiger ist, dass sich die Qualität weiter verbessert hat.

Wichtig ist bei identischem Encoder und identischem Ausgangsmaterial, dass die Quantisierungswerte (I,P,B:mquant) möglichst niedrig sind. Das bedeutet in den meisten Fällen eine Qualitätssteigerung (nicht in allen zwingend !).

Qualitativ bezugnehmend auf diesen Thread (Vorsicht: grosse Bilder !) zeigt sich der qualitative Unterschied so:

Optimiertes Bild aus dem MC-Enc 1.2


Weiter optimiertes Bild aus dem MC-Enc 1.3 (mit Rauschfilterung, maximaler DVD-GOP usw.; 16. Einstellung aus obigem Testbericht).


Klar zu sehen ist, dass die Rauschfilterung das Bild zwar weicher macht (und einige Details verringert, am deutlichsten: Treppenstufen), aber gerade dadurch sehr viel Harmonie erzielt (gilt für interlaced DV !!). V.a. die hellen Bereiche der Teerfläche zeigen das.

Das Bild kommt dadurch auf dem TV recht angenehm.
Wie immer wurde ein B-Frame extrahiert.
I-Frames sind knackscharf und makellos (Fremdwort Verblockung).
